Jeffrey Joins Canada For Spengler Cup

Camlachie's Dustin Jeffrey will suit up for Canada at this year's Spengler Cup tournament beginning December 26 in Switzerland.

Among the AHL leaders in points last season, Jeffrey signed a contract with Lausanne HC in the summer. The Lambton Jr Sting grad has ten goals and 28 points in 31 games with the Swiss club.

Former NHLers Gregory Cambpell, Nick Spaling, and Mason Raymond Cory Emmerton are also with Canada.

Montreal goalie prospect Zach Fucale will be between the pipes, he's been with the Habs' ECHL affiliate in Brampton. Jordon Cooke, who is currently at the University of Saskatchewan after his four year WHL career, and former Maple Leaf Drew MacIntyre will are Canada's other two goalies.

Five players return from last year's gold medal winning team. Canada has won the Spengler Cup 13 times, with the latest title clinched by a 4-3 win over HC Lugano in last year's final.

Canada opens up the Tournament Boxing Day against HC Davos.

Former Sting Ryan Wilson is with HC Lugano and will also take part in the annual tournament
