Despite the wet weather over the long weekend, over 40,000 people walked through the gates at the Brigden Fall Fair.
Spokesperson Dennis Robinson said a total of 45,376 attendees passed "Thru the Fair Gate", keeping with the annual fair's theme.
"Sunday was the miserable day, but attendance was still very good," said Robinson. "That's what you do, you make the most of it. You make lemonade when you've got lemons."
Robinson noted that the new parking and entrance arrangements at the Brigden Fairgrounds were well received.
"People commented on how much easier it was to get on the grounds and get in to see the fair. People were very receptive to being shuttled from the parking lot into the main area, so we'll build on it."
Robinson said plans for next year are already underway with the 2027 theme announced as 'Moo-ving Forward Together'.
"We get so much support from Lambton County to make it a Thanksgiving tradition," Robinson added. "Without them and their support and the countless volunteers, Brigden would not be what it is today."
