The Sarnia Sting rebounded from Saturday night's loss in Barrie to blank Oshawa 3-0.
Goalie Ivan Tkach-Tkachenko made 35 saves for his first OHL shutout.
Easton Walos scored twice for the Sting in the win, his fourth and fifth goals of the season, and added an assist.
Matthew Manza also scored his first of the year, sealing the win with a third-period empty netter.
Despite being outshot 35-25, Sarnia made the most of their special teams, converting on their lone power play while shutting down all three of Oshawa's opportunities.
"It was a good bounce back from yesterday's game, obviously losing to Barrie," said Walos. "I think we stuck with it and obviously our goalie helped us out a bit so that was good."
The Sting finished up the weekend 1-1-1.
It was the first of a back-to-back, home-and-home series, which wraps up on Friday, October 9 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
