A former Sarnia high school basketball coach and newspaper reporter was found guilty of more sex-related charges in the Superior Court of Justice on Friday, October 2.
Jim Miller, who maintained his innocence, was found guilty of one count each of sexual assault and sexual interference and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.
The matter has been adjourned to December 14, 2026 at 10 a.m. for sentencing submissions, and the now 61-year-old remains out on bail.
This comes after a separate trial on September 18 during which he was found guilty of four counts of sexual interference and one count of invitation to sexual touching. He was acquitted on two counts of sexual interference.
Miller was arrested by the RCMP in British Columbia in August of 2024.
Earlier that year, police said the Criminal Investigations Division received a complaint about the offences dating back to 1989.
In 2006, Miller was acquitted of similar historical charges in Sarnia.
