The Sarnia Sting Charity Golf Tournament raised $40,000 in support of Pathways Health Centre for Children.
The ninth annual tournament took place on July 14 at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.
“We were thrilled, as always, to help support and raise awareness for Pathways. This event and organization truly reflect our core values at the Sarnia Sting. We are so grateful to the businesses and community members who participated and supported a great event and cause,” said Vice President of Business Operations Jake Bourrie.
Current and former Sting players were there, some stationed at holes while others took to the course in carts.
“We are so grateful to the Sarnia Sting for partnering with Pathways Health Centre for Children to run this charity golf tournament. This is the second biggest fundraiser we have. The community support and Sting partnership mean the world to us. We have so many returning businesses and organizations, and community members all show up for Pathways,” said Pathways' Donor Relations and Special Events Lead Marcy Draker.
The event allows the team to give back to the community while raising funds dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families throughout the region.
