As Chatham-Kent marked the annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, James Street in Wallaceburg became a sea of orange as elementary school students took part in a Healing Walk.
The person was seen brandishing a firearm outside Chatham-Kent Secondary School, with officers later finding them and determining the weapon was an airsoft gun.
A meet-and-greet has been scheduled for October 15 at the Wallaceburg UAW Hall from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
