The Anishinabek Police Service says a man from Kettle Point was arrested and charged after shots were fired at an unoccupied vehicle on Victoria Day.
Officers were called to the First Nation on Monday afternoon, and found a vehicle damaged as a result of gunfire.
Police said there were no injuries and a suspect was arrested at the scene.
Investigators determined the incident was targeted and there was no broader threat to public safety.
On Tuesday, officers executed a search warrant at the suspect's residence and seized two BB guns and 13 rifle rounds.
As a result, a 39-year-old was charged with breach of recognizance and unauthorized possession and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
Police said he has since been released on a release order.
The investigation is ongoing and officers are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 519-727-2525 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
