The reward fund set up in the wake of a young man's homicide is now doubled thanks to donations.
Sarnia City Councillor Bill Dennis presented a cheque for $25,000 to Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers during a media event on Friday.
This doubles the reward fund to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of the outstanding suspect in the murder of 20-year-old Dane Nisbet.
Nisbet, a junior hockey player, died on April 10 when he was struck by gunfire at a bar on the campus of Lambton College in Sarnia.
Two others were also shot but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are still searching for 24-year-old Kyaw Eh Doe, who also goes by the names "Chin" and "Leo King." He is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant on charges of second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
