VIDEO: SPS seeking driver after pedestrian struck in hit and run

The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) is looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run collision with a pedestrian.

The incident happened at around 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, April 16.

Police said a 60-year-old woman was walking through the crosswalk on a green light at Vidal Street and George Street.

As she crossed, a vehicle turned left through the crosswalk, struck her, and fled. She was treated at the scene.

A witness' dashcam captured the collision, and the suspect vehicle is believed to be a grey or silver Kia Soul.

The Sarnia Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is looking to identify the vehicle and driver involved.
