Pinery closed for herd management

Residents who enjoy walking the trails at Pinery Provincial Park will have to go elsewhere this week as the park is closed for deer herd management.

The Grand Bend park was scheduled to be closed from November 23 at 2 p.m. until November 29 at 8 a.m.

The deer harvest is being held in partnership with Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, which held a lottery draw on November 23.

Other area parks also recently closed for deer culling.

Rondeau Provincial Park was closed this past weekend and Point Pelee National Park was temporarily closed in mid-November.
