Local museums band together for Tunes in Time

Heritage Sarnia-Lambton's next virtual Heritage Hour is expected to strike a chord with music lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

"Tunes in Time" will explore Lambton County’s exciting musical past in an hour long presentation on Thursday, November 20.

Oil Museum of Canada Curator/Supervisor Meagan Sinclair said they'll be providing a unique look at special items in the local museum collections.

"Tunes in Time will celebrate the songs and sounds that have made an impact here in Lambton County through fascinating artifacts and documents," Sinclair said.

Museum professionals from across Lambton County will share stories and artifacts that celebrate the county’s musical heritage.

From antique instruments and community concert bands to early rock and roll and unforgettable local melodies, Sinclair said music has played a significant role in shaping the cultural landscape.

The presentation will be hosted on Microsoft Teams, and moderated by Sinclair.

Presenters include Dana Thorne (Lambton Heritage Museum), Nicole Aszalos (Lambton County Archives), David McLean (Forest Museum), Fiona Doherty (Moore Museum), and Kailyn Shepley (Sombra Museum).

Registration, at heritagelambton.ca, is required for the free event.
