Sting players to compete on international stage

The Sarnia Sting will be represented at this year's U17 World Hockey Challenge set to take place in Truro, Nova Scotia from November 2 to 8.

Rookies Kaden Aucoin and Brenner Lammens will suit up for Canada White, and Sting General Manager Dylan Seca is the Director of Operations for the squad.

Aucoin has played well as shutdown defenceman for the Sting this season, while Lammens has a goal and an assist in eight contests.

A total of 44 players from across the Canadian Hockey League were included.

On November 2, Canada Red takes on Finland at 2:30 p.m. ET and Canada White faces off against Sweden at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Teams will play two preliminary round games before the medal round, which concludes on November 8.

The event will also feature pre-tournament games in Truro, Amherst and Wolfville on October 31.

The 2024 edition of the tournament was held in Sarnia.
