Lambton OPP responded to the two vehicle collision, involving a sport utility vehicle and passenger vehicle, at Petrolia Line and Kimball Road at around 12:50 p.m.
Police said both drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Volunteers with the St. Clair Township Fire Department also responded.
A pedestrian from Walpole Island First Nation, who was hit by a vehicle, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
