Good Samaritan reports stunt driver in St. Clair Township

An 18-year-old from Watford accused of driving 135 kilometres per hour in an 80 km/h zone has been issued a 30-day licence suspension.

Lambton OPP stopped the young driver on Moore Line after being tipped off about a speeding vehicle on Shiloh Line in St. Clair Township on Wednesday, shortly after 7:45 a.m.

As a result, the teen was charged with stunt driving.

In addition to having their licence suspended, the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

Provincial police are thanking the Good Samaritan who reported the incident.

"Road safety is a shared responsibility, and we encourage the public to continue reporting dangerous driving behavior," read an OPP media release.
