A man who embarked on a journey across Canada earlier this year made his way through St. Clair Township on Monday.
Trevor Redmond has walked over 4,700 kilometres since starting his trek in Halifax on March 26.
He also passed through Chatham-Kent in late October.
The man referred to as the "Fellow in Yellow" almost lost his leg after being struck by a vehicle as a teen. He spent a month and a half in hospital and went through 10 to 12 surgeries.
Redmond was inspired the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope and by Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion Tour after it went past his home.
In 2006-2007, Redmond walked 11,421 km, over 15 million steps, from Halifax to Vancouver.
In 2009, he bicycled 14,632 km across Canada and back, leaving from Calgary's Langevin Science School.
"If I have inspired you and you have a charity that supports Health, Mobility and Recovery, and it moves you, by all means donate on behalf of the Fellow in Yellow," he said on his website.
He said his efforts go to support health, mobility, and recovery for everybody, and he'll be investing in programs and events that support this.
