The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) has fined the Sarnia Sting $1,000.
The league said the club surpassed the threshold for allowable fighting majors in a single game of three, incurring a total of five during Wednesday's School Day Game against the Flint Firebirds.
Two of them included instigator penalties for the Sting, and that means the Firebirds only had three fights counted against them.
The OHL said offending teams are fined $500 for each fighting major above three.
The Sting are back on the ice for two games this weekend as they host Niagara Friday, and London on Sunday afternoon.
You can hear every game on 103.9FM and 1070AM CHOK.
