Smoke, vape free outdoor movie night returns to Centennial Park

The City of Sarnia and Lambton Public Health are again promoting a night of outdoor fun, free of smoking and vaping.

The annual smoke and vape free movie night will be held at Centennial Park on Friday, September 20.

Youth and young adults exposed to popular forms of media (such as video games and streaming platforms) with tobacco and vaping, "have three times the odds of starting to vape or smoke," read the city's event page.

This year's movie will feature Trolls Band Together on the big screen.

An activity zone will include inflatables, face painting, sports demonstrations, and live music.

The Sarnia-Lambton Golden K Kiwanis Club will provide free popcorn, and food vendors will also be at the park.

The activity zone will open at 5 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
