Local leaders in Lambton County will be joining together to provide a brief update on what is happening in 2024 in their respective communities.
The second annual 2024 State of Lambton Business Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 8 a.m. at the Plympton-Wyoming Fairgrounds.
Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce Marketing and Events Coordinator Robin Cooke said it's important for residents to hear what's planned for the community.
"It is very important to hear what is in the works, what is happening in each region of Lambton County from a business point of view," said Cooke. "The mayors are excited to share this information with us."
Cooke said the event is open to the public.
Tickets are $50 for chamber members and $75 for non-members.
"It's open to everyone. We have a very good attendance for this event. Last year we sold out very early so, if you would like to attend please go online and register right away," Cooke said.
To start off the event the mayors and leaders will each give their 10 minute description about what is happening in their area.
Cooke said there is something new being added this year.
"There will be an open mic question period. So, the attendees can raise their questions to the participants," she said.
Cooke added that when the idea about the question period was introduced it was well received by the participants.
The idea to host the State of Lambton Business Breakfast came from Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce CEO Carrie McEachran.
Cooke said this is one way the chamber can advocate for local businesses.
