Police investigating numerous break and enters involving stolen vehicle in Bright's Grove

The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) is investigating a slew of break-ins in Bright's Grove involving a stolen vehicle.

Police said a 2012 white GMC pickup truck was involved in the theft of a generator, motorcycle, construction tools, clothing, and other items.

Residents in the Stoneridge Drive, Kenwick Drive and Old Lakeshore Road at Marion Avenue areas may have been impacted.

Police said on February 27, they received a call from Ortec Environmental Services that one of their labeled company vehicles had been stolen.

The truck has since been recovered, but officers found the company decals had been spray painted over.

Sarnia police also recovered some of the stolen property and are looking to identify the owners.

Police are asking theft victims in the area who didn't report the offence to contact them.

Residents are also asked to check security systems and dash cam footage for sighting of the stolen vehicle, or potential suspects, during the evening of March 6 into the early morning of March 7.

Anyone with information can call the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigations Division at 519-344-8861 ext. 6198 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
