Equipment delivery at Suncor ahead of turnaround

There was plenty of coordination to deliver two pieces of equipment to Suncor's Sarnia Refinery Tuesday.

The refinery said the first item was being transported by truck along Hill Street in Corunna, to St. Clair Parkway, before entering the refinery off River Road before noon.

Another item was to be delivered in the early afternoon, between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Suncor said it would be travelling along Highway 40/Churchill Road, over the Vidal Street overpass and enter the refinery off River Road.

The company said the equipment is needed for a period of planned maintenance.

While no road closures or traffic delays were expected, Suncor said the trucks would have an escort and would be travelling at a reduced speed.
