Blue Christmas at the Hive as Sting lose 4-1 to Oshawa

The Sarnia Sting (11-19-0-0) suffered a 4-1 loss to the visiting Oshawa Generals (11-12-3-1) Sunday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Kai Schwindt scored the lone goal for the Sting during the annual Christmas at the Hive game in front of 3,839 fans.

Goalie Nick Surzycia, stopped 15 of 19 shots in net for the Sting. 

Rasmus Kumpulainen, Luke Torrance, Matthew Buckley and Connor Lockhart all scored in the win for Oshawa.

Sting players were decked out in their special Gingerbread Man Christmas Jerseys which were auctioned off following the game raising money for the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

The Sting are back on the ice on Friday night when they host the Saginaw Spirit. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. You can catch the game on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM).
