Aamjiwnaang holds 60th Pow Wow

Aamjiwnaang First Nation will mark its 60th annual Pow Wow this weekend.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday at Bear Park at 1972 Virgil Ave. in Sarnia. The grand entry will begin at 12 p.m. on both days.

The annual Pow Wow returned to the park last year after a brief hiatus caused by the pandemic.

Popular contests will return, including dance, drums, and the baby contest. A flyer with contest times can be found below.

Admission is $10 for those between the ages of 13 and 54 and $5 for those between six and 12 years old. Children five and under and those 55 and up are free.
