Sarnia police and fire crews responded to a vehicle fire on Stuart Street, between Confederation and Devine Streets, on Wednesday afternoon.
Sarnia Fire and Rescue said, due to a quick response, firefighters prevented both of the adjacent homes from becoming fully involved structure fires.
Photos show at least one home sustained some damage.
No injuries were reported.
The cause and damage estimate are still being determined.
