Shell Corunna plans site-wide head count

The Shell Manufacturing Centre in Corunna will conduct a site-wide head count/mustering exercise Thursday morning.

The initiative, scheduled for 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., includes the activation of the emergency alarm, computer generated voice messages broadcast through indoor and outdoor speakers, strobe lights, and all-clear tones.

In a media release, the company said this activity may be apparent to near-site neighbours and others in the vicinity.

Shell said it must exercise this new system annually to test and confirm its ability to account for all site occupants within one hour.

For more information contact the refinery at 519-481-1245.
