Sting defeated 10-0 in Flint

The Sarnia Sting suffered a tough blow while in Flint Saturday night with a 10-0 loss to the Firebirds.

The Firebirds led only 2-0 after the first period.

Saturday's loss came on the heels of a 4-1 loss to Saginaw at Progressive Auto Sales Arena (PASA) on Friday.

The game went down hill quickly after the Firebirds scored three goals in the second period, taking a 5-0 lead at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan.

Amadeus Lombardi and Simon Slavicek each scored twice for the Firebirds.

The Sting are 12-8-3-1 in the West Division and are tied with the Windsor Spitfires, one point behind the Firebirds and are seven back of the Spirit. The Sting also rank sixth in the Western Conference in winning percentage.

The Sting will host the Oshawa Generals at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and the Barrie Colts at 2:05 p.m. Sunday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

They also visit Saginaw on Saturday.
