The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office responded to the area near 525 Riverside Avenue at around 7:30 p.m.

"Our dive team responded to assist in the vehicle and body recovery," Lieutenant Scott Baldwin with the Detective Bureau told Sarnia News Today.

A man was pulled from the vehicle and taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was being planned to determine the cause of death.
