Sarnia unveils orange crosswalk to honour Indigenous children

The City of Sarnia has a new orange crosswalk to honour Indigenous children lost to residential schools.

Earlier this month, the city unveiled the crosswalk at the intersection of Christina Street and Cathcart Boulevard.

Councillor Bill Dennis proposed the idea to council last September in hopes of taking a step toward reconciliation in the community.

June marks National Indigenous History Month in Canada.
