Tools, jewelry and bikes are just some of the items up for grabs in the Sarnia Police Service online auction.
Cst. John Sottosanti said residents can preview the items beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 4.
He said the items are unclaimed, seized or found property.
"Items that may have been recovered and we were unable to locate the owner," said Sottosanti. "We do have to wait a certain period of time post seizing these items to give the owner the opportunity. And even if you go online and observe an item you believe is yours, and you can show proof that it belongs to you, then that item will still be returned to you. Items range from tools to household goods to bicycles."
He said the money generated from the auction goes into the city's coffers.
