Plympton-Wyoming plans community picnic

It will be busy this weekend at Lakeshore Community Park in Camlachie for the second annual Community Spirit Picnic in the Park.

Plympton-Wyoming's special events committee opted to organize this year's event after a successful turnout last year at McKay Park in Wyoming.

Children's activities, such as face painting and bouncy castles will be set up at the park. Live entertainment, food trucks, and community club vendors will also be stationed at the event.

The municipality said members of the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department will be on hand for attendees to check out their new fire pump truck.

The community picnic is scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Lakeshore Park, 3110 Egremont Rd.
