Lambton College's in-person open house returns Saturday

After two years of being held virtually, Lambton College is excited to welcome prospective students to campus for its Doors Open Lambton event this weekend.

The open house will be held at the London Road facility, and there will also be live demonstrations and information available at the fire school on LaSalle Line.

Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Success Mary Vaughan said they have something for everyone.

"We have the emergency management type of programs, from paramedic to police foundations to firefighter," said Vaughan. "You've got community studies, if you're interested in creative programs there is aesthetics, and hairstyling. There's culinary, technology, business, there's the health programs, social work and trades courses. You would be very hard-pressed not to find a program that you're interested in, we pretty much offer them all."

Vaughan said there will be interactive booths, games, teaching and lab spaces.

There will also be an Indigenous artist showcase in the courtyard as well as various entrepreneurs and vendors.

Prospective students and their families will be able to speak with faculty, enrollment advisors and current students about the various program offerings and get a taste of campus life.

Those interested can come out on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
