We could learn more about what exactly happened during a city council diversity training session in November.
During Monday's closed session, Sarnia councillors agreed to have staff work with outside legal counsel to report out---to the legal extent possible---the materials associated with two previously held closed meetings.
After completing the initial virtual session with city council, which the KOJO institute said was met with hostility and belligerence by some members, it withdrew its proposals to deliver equity consultations and training to the city and Sarnia Police Services Board in December.
The Toronto based diversity consultant recently released a statement on its website to address what it called false narratives surrounding the fall training session, and actions that followed.
Meanwhile, city staff is compiling a response to Community Legal Assistance Sarnia following a request for information about future equity training, and how the city was intending to address what happened in the fall.
