Fourth place finish for Marinaro, Moore-Towers and Team Canada

Team Canada narrowly missed out on a podium finish at the team figure skating event at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Sarnia's Michael Marinaro and his partner Kirsten Moore-Towers didn't skate in the free program, after placing fifth in the short program. They were replaced by Vanessa James and Eric Radford.

Team Canada finished fourth with 53 points. The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) captured the gold, the U.S won silver and Japan walked away with bronze.

There's still a chance for Marinaro and Moore-Towers to secure Olympic medals.

They will skate again in the pairs short program on Friday, February 18, and in the pairs free skate on Saturday, February 19.
