Lambton Public Health reports fewer active COVID-19 cases

The active COVID-19 case count in Sarnia-Lambton has gone down slightly to 42.

Lambton Public Health reported five new cases on Saturday, along with eight more resolved cases.

There have been a total of 4,360 confirmed cases in the region since the start of the pandemic. There have also been a total of 4,242 resolved cases.

The local death toll remains at 76 and there is one active outbreak.

Meantime, a vaccine clinic will be held Saturday at the Point Edward Optimist Hall from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Walk-ins for first and second doses are accepted for those 12 years of age and up. Appointments are needed for those eligible to receive third doses and children between the ages of five and 11.
