Several items modified to be weapons have been seized after members of the Kettle Point First Nation Detachment of the Anishinabek Police Service were called about an intoxicated man.
The male suspect, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, was found Wednesday on West Ipperwash Road in Lambton Shores.
Police said his movement "became erratic" during the arrest. Officers searched his backpack and allegedly found an ARI assault-style airsoft pellet gun that was made to look like a real version of the gun, a modified brass knuckle, a 14 inch modified dumbbell handle, a 15 inch halfpipe wrench, a 14 inch modified hammer, a modified water pipe, and a 10 inch kitchen knife.
He also allegedly broke his probation order by possessing weapons and leaving his residence after consuming alcohol.
Police said 29-year-old Nathan Leo Wolfe of Kettle Point First Nation was charged with weapons dangerous, failing to comply with a prohibition order, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Charges against Wolfe have not been proven in court. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on July 12.
