Impaired charge laid after vehicle struck in Canatara parking lot

A Windsor man who allegedly crashed his vehicle into another in the Canatara Park parking lot, has been charged with impaired driving.

Sarnia police were called to the north parking lot at around 8 p.m. Saturday.

During the investigation, police demanded that the suspect provide a breath sample into a roadside screening device, which he subsequently failed.

The man was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters where he provided further breath samples into the Intoxilyzer.  Results indicated over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.

The 30-year-old suspect has a court date set for August 10.
