Petrolia restaurants serving up a slice of cheesy goodness

Pizza is on the menu this weekend in Petrolia.

The eighth annual Petrolia Pizzafest kicks off Friday afternoon and continues Saturday.

For the second year in a row, the event is being held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic.

There are seven local eateries participating, Athena's Diner, Bud's Family Pizza, Godfather's Pizza, Helen's Hideaway and Pizzeria, Johnny G's, Petrolia Pizza and Subs and Wise Guys Inc.

The pizza party includes online performances by local artists on Facebook and through the Town of Petrolia YouTube channel.

Funds raised from the event will support the Petrolia Community Fund, the Lambton-Central Petrolia Optimist Club, the Petrolia Lions Club, Petrolia Scouting and The Rotary Club of Petrolia.
