Active COVID cases drop below 75 in Sarnia-Lambton

The number of active COVID-19 infections in Sarnia-Lambton has dropped below 75.

Lambton Public Health reported four new confirmed cases of the virus Tuesday, for a total of 3,336 since the start of the pandemic. Cases considered resolved increased by 13 to 3,207, lowering the active case count by nine to 73.

The number of workplace and institutional outbreaks is unchanged at four. An outbreak at an unnamed workplace ended Monday but a new outbreak was declared at Bluewater Health in the Acute Medicine unit.

Bluewater Health now has 17 positive patients in hospital, up three over the last 24 hours. Nine of the positive patients are from outside Lambton County.
