Lambton OPP have charged a woman with arson in connection with a fire at a Point Edward apartment complex Saturday afternoon.
Village fire crews responded to Huron View apartments at 11 Fort Street at around 2 p.m.
The fire was contained to one unit but there was some smoke damage to surrounding units. No injuries were reported, and damage to the unit where the fire started is estimated at around $100,000.
Police and the Ontario Fire Marshal investigated and officers took a suspect into custody.
Anne Epstein, 64, of Point Edward is charged with arson-disregard for human life.
The accused was released following a bail hearing Sunday.
