Driver charged after truck clocked at 107 km/h on city street

A 42-year-old London man had his driver's licence suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle impounded for 45 days, after Sarnia police clocked a pickup travelling 107 km/h on Wellington Street.

Officers were conducting radar enforcement at around 1 p.m. January 2.

The man was arrested, and allegedly provided breath samples over the legal limit.

Police said he also gave officers a fake name.

The accused is charged with impaired driving, personation with intent to avoid arrest, two counts of driving while under suspension, and racing a motor vehicle at excessive speed.
