Sarnia-Lambton remains at 'green' COVID level, other areas elevated

Sarnia-Lambton remained in the "green" category in Ontario's new COVID-19 framework Friday.

The province announced changes in the status of regions across Ontario after new modelling Thursday showed cases could reach 6,500 a day by mid-December.

Lambton County remained at the prevent or standard measures level along with neighbouring Chatham-Kent, while other areas in the region are being elevated.

London-Middlesex, Huron-Perth, and Windsor-Essex moved to the protect or strengthened measures yellow category.

Even broader-scale measures and restrictions are being imposed on Hamilton, Toronto, and the Peel, York, and Halton regions which are moving to the red level.

The changes come into effect Monday, November 16 at 12:01 a.m. Toronto Public Health will move into the framework on Saturday, November 14, at 12:01 a.m.

Further information about the colour-coded restrictions can be viewed here.
