Ontario Fire Marshal says Lanark Court fires suspicious

The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has determined two fires on Lanark Court early Tuesday morning are suspicious and the investigations have been turned over to Sarnia police.

Constable John Sottosanti said the Criminal Investigation Unit is looking into the fires, which caused significant damage to two townhouses and also damaged adjacent units.

Sarnia Fire & Rescue and police responded at around 4:20 a.m.

Anyone with information about the fires is asked to contact Detective Brian Halfpenny at 519-344-8861, extension 6213, or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Fire and police were continuing to investigate two other structure fires on Kathleen Avenue and Rayburne Avenue that occurred Monday morning.
