Arson charges laid in Petrolia fire

A 40-year-old Sarnia man is facing arson charges following a blaze at Duststop Air Filters in Petrolia on July 24.

Lambton OPP and firefighters from Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department responded to a large warehouse fire at 330 Centre St. at around 7 p.m.

Police said Jacob Bondy was arrested on July 27. He's charged with arson, disregard for human life, and damage to property.

No injuries were reported, and a damage estimate was not provided.

The suspect recently appeared in Sarnia court for a bail hearing.
