$22K worth of meth and cocaine seized in St. Clair Township

A Corunna woman is facing several drug charges after police seized illegal drugs valued at over $22,000.

The Ontario Provincial Police said following several months of investigation into a drug trafficking operation, officers made an arrest on Wednesday. A vehicle was pulled over on Kimball Road and Bentpath Line in St. Clair Township and after a search, officers seized 60 grams of suspected cocaine and over 80 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Canadian currency, cell phones, drug paraphernalia and bear spray were also seized.

As a result, 34-year-old Jessica Babo of Corunna has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

Babo has been released with a court date scheduled for August 26 in Sarnia.
