Four people rescued after boat sinks in Lake Huron

Good Samaritans are being praised for rescuing four people from the waters of Lake Huron on Sunday.

Anishinabek Police and Kettle and Stony Point Fire responded to the 9300 block of Lake Road at around 5 p.m. where a boat had sunk 100 metres offshore.

Police say the passengers, aged three, eight, 11, and 41, were pulled out of the water by members of the community before crews arrived.

They were wearing life jackets at the time and didn't suffer any injuries.
