All Lambton fall fairs now cancelled

There will be no fairs this fall in Lambton County.

The final fall fair to announce its cancellation is the Brooke-Alvinston Watford Fall Fair, scheduled for October 2-4.

The announcement follows the recent decision by organizers of events set in Forest, Plympton-Wyoming, Petrolia-Enniskillen and Brigden to postpone due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a post on social media, organizers said the decision to cancel was not made easily.

"In our small but mighty rural community, this annual event is of great significance. It brings us together year after year to showcase what makes us a world-class agricultural community!"

The Brooke-Alvinston Agricultural Society said it is planning on coming back bigger and better in 2021.
