A Sarnia man faces assault and robbery charges following an altercation at a Sarnia motel Monday morning, which sent another man to hospital with serious injuries.
City police responded to the 1700 block of London Line at around 2:30 a.m.
Police said when they arrived, the 46-year-old victim was bleeding from an extensive laceration to his face after running from the room where the incident took place.
They said the altercation was due to the suspect allegedly robbing the victim of some personal items.
Officers were able to locate the suspect, who was still in the room.
Sherwood Kyle Rogers, 31, of Sarnia, arrested and charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
