Sting edge Greyhounds 4-3

The Sarnia Sting made a come back in the second period and secured a 4-3 victory over the Soo Greyhounds at Progressive Auto Sales Arena on Sunday.

It was the Sting's first win on home ice since beating Mississauga on December 14. That's a stretch of thirteen straight games.

The Greyhounds came out strong with the first two goals of the game.

Theo Hill put the Sarnia Sting on the board in the second period. The Sting then racked up two more goals made by Jacob Perreault and Ryan McGregor.

Less than two minutes into the third, Sam Bitten scored Sarnia's fourth and final goal of the game. The Greyhounds managed to get one in net in the third but it wasn't enough to push the game into overtime.

Sting goaltender Benjamin Gaudreau made 33 saves of 36 shots on net.

The Sarnia Sting will get a few days of rest before they head back onto the ice to face the London Knights on March 6 at Budweiser Gardens. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
