The Responsible Gambling Council is warning teens about the potential dangers of gambling.
The organization's popular interactive show Game Brain made stops again this year at high schools across Ontario including at Great Lakes Secondary School.
Host Jason Agnew said although it's not legal to gamble until age 19, they find a lot of high school kids are still taking part.
"30 per cent of students from grades 7 to 12 have gambled in the past year," said Agnew. "That can be something online, it can be a lottery (even though they aren't supposed to be playing), or it can be betting with their friends. The main message that we're trying to get across is to learn the risks now so you don't get into trouble later on."
Agnew said each game focuses on different lessons including the signs and risks of problem gambling, and where to get help.
He said the main things you can lose are your money, track of time, and trust for others.
