The theme of the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade in Sarnia Saturday is "One Christmas Night."
Club President Bob Marks said thousands of residents and visitors line Christina Street for the parade each year.
"This year's floats, we're just about normal, we're a little over 40 floats now and we have four large marching bands coming to participate again this year," said Marks.
He said they successfully raised $20,000 to cover the travel expenses for the American bands so they would come.
"We have two coming from Rochester, Michigan, one from Memphis, Michigan and as usual, our friends from across the river, the Port Huron Northern Husky Marching Band will be attending again."
Marks admitted it's quite the expense, but said the quality of the music they provide makes it worthwhile.
He said he's hoping everyone coming to watch brings some canned food with them.
"The Sarnia Christian School is collecting food for the Inn of the Good Shepherd," he said. "If you forget to bring something, some of the kids have milk jugs, which they'll be collecting money in that will be donated to the Inn."
The parade leaves Exmouth Street at 6 p.m. and travels south on Christina Street, reaching Wellington Street around 7 p.m.
Parades are also being held Saturday in Watford at 10 a.m., Petrolia 2 p.m. and Thedford at 6:30 p.m.
