There's been a rash of break and enters to Sarnia-area children's agencies, including St. Clair Child and Youth Services.
Thieves smashed a window at the Kendall Street facility in Point Edward just after 1 a.m. Saturday, and stole electronics including laptops, iPads, and cell phones.
Executive Director Sue Barnes said despite the offices being ransacked, they're open Monday and service is continuing as usual.
"Staff did a great job of keeping all of the confidential information locked up," said Barnes. "So, none of that was breached. It could have been worse. No one was hurt, and everything is safe and we're up and running.
"It's unfortunate that this happened, especially right before Christmas. We try to really provide the best that we can for our families right now in this time of need. We're hoping they catch these individuals very soon."
Barnes estimates the loss at over $10,000, and they're accepting online donations to help them get new equipment.
Police are also investigating recent break and enters to Pathways Health Centre for Children and the Children's Aid Society.
